The Norwegian Seamen’s Church in Thailand invites everyone to join the choir “Vaffelstrupene,” which resumes on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at 5:00 PM. Under the direction of Øystein Heggstad, the choir is a welcoming space for those who enjoy singing together.
Vaffelstrupene is not a church choir. Instead, it offers a diverse selection of music, ranging from folk songs and pop to hymns. This fall, the choir will also practice songs suitable for the Advent and Christmas season. Members will have the opportunity to perform at various events hosted by the seamen’s church, and perhaps even at other venues in the future.
The only requirement to join is a genuine love for singing. Whether you live in Thailand or are visiting for an extended holiday, everyone is welcome to participate in the rehearsals. The church looks forward to a new semester filled with music and joy.
During the event, attendees can also enjoy the church’s famous waffles and coffee during the break, fostering a warm and welcoming community atmosphere.
