Vietnam is among the countries where women travelling alone feel relatively safe, according to a recent overview by BBC.
The assessment is based on global data, including the Women, Peace and Security Index and the Global Peace Index, combined with experiences from solo travellers.
Vietnam ranks 38th on the Global Peace Index and is one of the higher-ranked countries in Southeast Asia. It also performs relatively well in terms of how safe women feel in their local communities.
Several travellers highlighted the country’s welcoming atmosphere, saying it is easy to meet people through everyday activities such as cafés, tours and local experiences.
The list also includes Norway, which ranks among the safest countries globally.
