Vietnam has set a new tourism record in 2025, welcoming more than 19 million international visitors in 11 months.
The figure already surpasses the 18 million visitors recorded in 2019, before the Covid-19 pandemic. UN Tourism notes that Vietnam’s recovery is among the world’s fastest, even as Asia-Pacific overall remains below 2019.
China is currently Vietnam’s largest source market with about 4.8 million arrivals, followed by South Korea with 3.9 million. European markets also expanded, including Denmark, Sweden and Norway, which grew by 12.1, 15.9 and 19.6 percent respectively.
Authorities link the strong performance to easier visa rules, tourism promotion and new events in major destinations. Tourism revenue for the first 11 months reached an estimated 85.4 trillion VND, up 19.9 percent year-on-year.
