Vietnam welcomed nearly 12.3 million international visitors in the first half of 2026, a 14.9 percent increase compared with the same period last year, according to the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism.
The tourism authority said arrivals from several Nordic and other European markets, including Denmark and Sweden, continued to grow during the first six months of the year. The increase was partly attributed to Vietnam’s visa exemption policy for several European countries.
Overall, Europe recorded the strongest regional growth, with visitor numbers rising 56.1 percent year-on-year.
Vietnam aims to attract 25 million international visitors in 2026, supported by expanded international flight connections, visa facilitation and stronger tourism promotion.
