Danish-Armenian artist Elizabeth Romhild has decorated a Christmas tree as part of the annual charity initiative of The Anantara Siam Hotel Bangkok. To support her tree, visit the Parichart Court of Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel, where the Christmas Trees are displayed ad where the voting forms are available.
The Anantara Siam Hotel Bangkok has for the past 10 years celebrated Christmas with a charity event, where artist and designers create a Christmas tree for their respective sponsors. Again this year, Elizabeth has had the pleasure to participate. This time designing a tree in mosaic with the beautiful mosaics from the Sonite Innovative Surfaces Co., Ltd. , called “The Three Wise Men and the Star of Bethlehem”!
Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel has organised the Christmas Tree Charity Project in collaboration with Thailand’s leading lifestyle media, L’Officiel Thailand and L’Optimum Thailand.
Apart from the cost of decorating each Christmas tree for their company, each organisation has also made a monetary donation in support of Friends in Need (of “Pa”) Volunteers Foundation, under the auspices of the Thai Red Cross Society.
Voting will close 6 December 2017 (at 12.00 noon) and the “Like”s will be added to the paper vote to determine the winner!
Elizabeth about her tree concept this year::
“The Three Wise Men and the Star of Bethlehem” is a celebration of the elaborate mosaics, coming together as a cross cultural fusion tree, expressing the essence of the Silk Road, with Arabesque, Safari and Chinese motives, and the Siamese as a pyramid. Each standing alone as a mosaic sculpture, yet also together expressing the festive season !
