Students from Vietnam and Denmark took part in a public speaking and debate contest on green growth, marking 55 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The event was organised by the Vietnamese Embassy in Denmark in collaboration with Niels Brock Copenhagen Business College and Nguyen Sieu Secondary School. It brought together more than 200 students and teachers for discussions on sustainability and future cooperation.

Among attendees were Count Nikolai of Monpezat and officials from Denmark’s foreign ministry, highlighting the importance placed on youth engagement in bilateral relations.

Vietnam’s ambassador to Denmark, Nguyen Le Thanh, said connecting younger generations helps build a lasting foundation for cooperation. Danish officials also described Vietnam as a key partner in green development and economic collaboration.

The programme included cultural exchanges and formed part of a broader initiative to introduce Vietnam to Danish students, with a focus on strengthening people-to-people ties and supporting the countries’ green strategic partnership.
