The Embassy of Denmark in Vietnam reports that Denmark and Vietnam are deepening their cooperation in digital statistics through the Strategic Sector Cooperation (SSC) programme, focusing on technology and public-private partnerships to improve data accuracy and decision-making.

As part of Phase II of the SSC programme (2025–2027), ten experts from Vietnam’s General Statistics Office joined colleagues from Ghana and Morocco for a study visit to Denmark in late September. The visit aimed to explore how digital infrastructure and collaboration between the public and private sectors can help national statistics agencies produce faster, more reliable, and more relevant data.

During a three-day workshop hosted by Statistics Denmark, participants exchanged experiences and learned about Danish approaches to digital data management, modern information tools, and the use of digitalisation in improving statistical production. A key highlight was a visit to Digital Hub Denmark, where organisations such as the Danish Agency for Digital Government, Cbrain, Geomatic, and e-Boks presented examples of real-time data cooperation between public and private actors.

The visit reflects the core goals of the Denmark–Vietnam SSC partnership: locally anchored collaboration, mutual learning, and practical solutions to shared global challenges.
