DABS Annual General Meeting

Christian Jacobsen, Clipper Elite Carriers (Asia) Pte. Ltd. was elected new Committee Member of DABS – Danish Busines Association of Singapore – at the recent Annual General Meeting of DABS on the evening of Thursday, 3 April 2003 at The Swiss Club.      With Christian Jacobsen’s election, the full board now consists of President Soren Schouw Pedersen, MCC Transport Singapore Pte Ltd.; 1st Vice President Niels Rasmussen, Nordea Bank Finland PLC, Singapore Branch; 2nd Vice President Henrik Ziegler, Dantech Food Systems Pte Ltd.; Honorary Vice President Jorgen Orstrom Moller, Royal Danish Embassy; Honorary Treasurer Niels Henrik Jensen, The East Asiatic Co. (S) Pte Ltd.; Honorary Secretary Christian Vang, Hempel (Singapore) Pte Ltd.; Christian Jacobsen, Clipper Elite Carriers (Asia) Pte Ltd.; Heine Askaer-Jensen, Jebsen & Jessen (SEA) Pte Ltd., Henrik Ekelund, Novo Nordisk Asia Pacific Pte Ltd.; Leif Floejgaard, Danfoss Industries Pte Ltd.; John Iversen, DFDS Transport (S) Pte Ltd.; Peter Borup Jakobsen, GN Netcom Singapore Pte Ltd.; Jesper Kenborg, Navilogic SEA Pte Ltd.; Lars Selmer Krogh, Leo Pharma Asia Pte Ltd.; and Paul Kristensen, Scandinavian Airlines System.      Following the AGM, members and guests enjoyed a networking night with a nice buffet dinner at the Swiss Club. During the evening, Steen Løndal, Regional Managing Director of Danisco Singapore Pte Ltd., gave a presentation of the Danish giant within food ingredients and their new set-up in Singapore following the acquisition last year of the flavour manufacturing plant of Perlarom in Singapore as well as Perlarom’s sales office in China. As part of his presentation, Steen Løndal offered the participants to taste and smell some of the many flavours and other food ingredients marketed by Danisco in the region.
