Four new board members elected at TNCC’s AGM in Bangkok

Members of the Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce on April 8 elected four new members of the chamber’s board of governors at this year’s annual general meeting held at the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit hotel in Bangkok.
The new members were: Erik Knive (Norconsult Telematics), Jorgen Udvang (Too Small), Kristian Bo (TelecomAsia) and Ellen Hertzberg (Hertzberg Consulting). They replace outgoing members Harald Rostbo (Nera), Helene Sandberg (DTAC), Phil Gabriel (Jotun), and Paul Harstad (Barwil).
After the election, each newly elected members of the board gave a brief presentation of themselves, stating the company they worked for and their intention to serve the members well during the year to come.
Continuing on the board was Axel Blom (SAS), Choakdee Dhammasaroj (Nera), Cynthia Pornavalai (Tillekke & Gibbins), Knut Skaar (ABB), Vibeke Lyssand Leirvaag (Felicia), Per-Harald Engesaeth (Jotun), and Piya Techakul (Hydrogas).
Immediately after the election, the new board left the AGM for a quick board meeting where they constituted themselves with current president Niels-Gunnar Hjellegjerde as new president also for 2003 as well as appointed two advisors Tove Bjerkan and Chavalit Yodmani.
Prior to the election, president Niels Gunnar Hjellegjerde’s report of activities over the past year was approved without comments. He pointed among others to the new closer cooperation with the Royal Norwegian Embassy in arranging regular half day seminars twice a year, of which the Business Seminar in 2002 was the first result.
Also treasurer Axel Blom’s financial report was accepted without comment from the members, except for a minor calculation error. Axel Blom pointed to a slight drop in the year-end result which was mainly explained by the absence of a Fish & Jazz Ball last year. This loss was, however, partly compensated by a higher revenue on the website www.norcham.or.th he said.
After the meeting, the members gathered for an excellent dinner in the adjacent room.
