Norwegian Man Killed in Motorbike Crash in Chonburi

Khao Kaew Highway Police received a report on August 14 that there was a motorcycle crash at the bridge in Chonburi which resulted in two casualties. One of them was a 52-year-old Norwegian man and another was a 16-year-old Thai girl.

Police said that the accident took place at about 4.30am in Tambon Naklua, Banglamung district. At the scene of the accident, the body of Norwegian Mr. Hans Krispian Lundsvoll was found on the road under the bridge while the body of young Thai girl Ms. Somying Bumrungsilp was found on the road, about 20 metres away from the black motorbike branded Honda PCX with a plate number จนล 17.

The eyewitnesses reported that the Norwegian man was riding a motorbike at a very high speed as if he was drunk. At the turning curve, he lost control and hit the edge of the bridge. The Norwegian man then flew off the bike and out of the bridge and landed on the road under. The Thai girl flew off the bike too and hit the cement at the bridge.
