The Royal Danish Embassy in Manila took part in the inaugural Sustainability Expo (SUSTEX 2025), held in the Philippines and co-organized by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), SM Prime Holdings, and ARISE Philippines. The Danish delegation was led by Chargé d’Affaires Peter Dalberg.

In his message, Dalberg underlined the importance of partnerships and multisectoral cooperation in developing innovative and sustainable solutions. He reaffirmed Denmark’s commitment to supporting the Philippines in accelerating its green transition and circular economy initiatives.

Earlier this year, representatives from DOST visited Denmark and Sweden for a study program on circular economy, carried out in collaboration with Nordic embassies in the Philippines. The visit offered insights into waste management, resource efficiency, circular design, and sustainable city planning.

At SUSTEX 2025, DOST delegates shared how Nordic best practices could inspire effective strategies tailored to the Philippine context, highlighting the value of ongoing collaboration with Denmark and other Nordic partners in driving sustainability efforts forward.
