With the help of students in 3rd, 4th and 5th grade at the primary school Aabenraa Friskole in Aabenraa in the South of Denmark, the organization Innerwheel has succeeded in collecting no less than 71 kg of aluminium can pull tabs.

The can pull tab that you pull to open beer and soda cans are made of a material that is suitable for use in prostheses and they will now be re-melted and used for prostheses in Thailand. In Thailand snake bites are often what causes people to lose a leg.

Innerwheel in Aabenraa also supports other projects – for example SOS Children’s Villages in Mozambique and an orphanage in Kaunas, Lithuania.
