Breakfast meeting to address culture shock at workplace

The Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce’s Breakfast Meeting on April 7 will feature a topic that expatriates working in Thailand and local managers working in a foreign company should not miss.
Dr. Leif Thomas Olsen, Chairman of International Training Programs, Burapha University, will give a presentation on “Cultural shock at the office – being a Thai in a foreign company”. He will tell how and why Thai managers could, and should become in-house experts in bridging the gap between the non-Thai corporate culture in which they work and the Thai market culture in which they operate.
The meeting will also address the issues how to let local staff learn about foreign corporate culture, which will pave ways for increased performance and building bridges between the corporate culture and the local business culture.
The breakfast meeting starts at 7.30 am, at Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit Hotel. Reservation can be made either via email: [email protected] or by fax: 0 2260 6391.
