A Gold Standard for Learning at Bangkok Patana School

What does responsible development look like when you are planning a campus for the next generation? At Bangkok Patana School, our new Secondary Discovery Centre offers one answer.

The building has achieved LEED Gold certification under LEED v4 Building Design and Construction (BD+C), with 61 points. According to the US Green Building Council, it is the highest-rated LEED-certified K-12 school building in Thailand as of 2nd November 2026.

LEED assesses areas including energy and water use, materials, waste and indoor environmental quality. For us, however, the significance of the certification is also about what happens inside the building every day: learning.

As Bangkok Patana marks its 70th anniversary, we are looking not only at how far the school has come, but at the kind of campus we want to create for the decades ahead. New facilities need to serve our students and teachers exceptionally well while making responsible use of resources and considering their wider environmental impact.

LEED Gold is an achievement worth celebrating, and it is also a commitment to what comes next. Seventy years of history have never stopped Bangkok Patana from looking ahead.
