Transcom regional CEO Travis Coates and Philippine operations head Kristine Bondoc opened the company’s seventh Philippine site on 28 October. Sweden’s ambassador to the Philippines, Anna Ferry, joined the opening ceremony.

The customer service centre is Transcom’s first in Quezon City. It occupies the 12th floor of Giga Tower in Bridgetowne, Metro Manila. The site has a childcare centre, a café and an in-house pharmacy.

Transcom employs about 10,000 people in the Philippines

The Swedish outsourcing company employs about 10,000 people across Metro Manila, Bacolod, Iloilo and Davao. Ferry previously visited Transcom’s Philippine operations in her first official visit to the company.

The Customer Experience Association of the Philippines said Transcom is working with the Quezon City government to develop local career opportunities.

The Swedish embassy also highlighted Transcom’s work with Favor Care Church. The partners distributed rice to families and offered free medical consultations and medicine. They also held career sessions for students at Redemptio Christian School.
