Carlsberg Vietnam has launched its new sustainability programme, Brewing Tomorrow, bringing together suppliers and partners to strengthen cooperation on greener production and responsible business practices, Vietnam Investment Review reports.

The programme was introduced during the company’s first-ever Supplier Day on 15 July, where Carlsberg Vietnam highlighted its efforts to reduce emissions, protect resources and create a more sustainable value chain.

The company pointed to its Phu Bai Brewery in central Vietnam, which became Carlsberg Group’s largest beer production site in Asia after an expansion in 2025. The brewery has reduced water consumption by around 20 per cent and energy use by approximately 15 per cent compared with previous technology.

“Brewing Tomorrow is about creating long-term value beyond our breweries – for our people, consumers, partners, communities and the environment,” said Andrew Khan, managing director of Carlsberg Vietnam.

The programme is part of Carlsberg Group’s global sustainability strategy and focuses on four areas: reducing carbon emissions, protecting nature, encouraging responsible choices and empowering employees.

Carlsberg Vietnam also said the Phu Bai Brewery has achieved zero waste to landfill and uses around 2.1 litres of water to produce one litre of beer, making it one of Vietnam’s most water-efficient breweries.
