Dane receives award for improving water supply in Philippines

The Water Philippines EXPO 2013 was a great occasion for honoring an important personality within the water industry. Senior Business Development Manager, Jens Ove Frederiksen from Grundfos in Asia Pacific Region was honored with The Danish Export Association’s Diploma & HRH Prince Henrik’s Medal of Honor for his hard work in improving the water supply in poor communities.

Denmark has over the years developed a highly competitive water industry with its long tradition of integrated water management and is also willing to take responsibility and contribute to solving the major global water challenges. Grundfos is one of the Danish companies taking on the challenges and fortunate for them, Jens Ove Frederiksen has walked in front.

Jens Ove Frederiksen is one of the main forces in Grundfos’ business towards underprivileged societies to identify needs, provide financial support and implement water solutions. In addition, he is going a step further and is making sure users of the water systems receive sufficient training to operate the systems themselves.

Jens Ove Frederiksen has been deeply involved in Grundfos’ CSR program for the past 3-4 years, where he has worked to ensure that Grundfos works responsibly and environmentally correct.

In connection with the Water Philippines EXPO 2013 on 20th March  Jens Ove Frederiksen was presented with the Danish Export Association’s Diploma and HRH Prince Henrik’s Medal of Honour by his Excellency the Danish Ambassador to Malaysia and the Philippines, Nicolai Ruge and Ilse Korsvang, Danish Export Association.
