Swedish Embassy in Bangkok seeking three new interns

 

The Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok is looking for three new interns for exiting jobs. The Embassy is one of Sweden’s biggest with 55 employees. Aside from Thailand, the Embassy also covers Laos, Myanmar and Philippines.

The Embassy will be hiring an intern for each of these sectors:

Section of politics:

This section watch and report about the political development, human rights, foreign and security politics in Thailand, Philippines, Laos and Myanmar. As an intern you will be involved with regional and cross border questions and participating in different project groups and the planning of high level visitors.

Section of trade and economy and

This section watches the economic politic and trade politics in Thailand. The section also runs an active trade and culture promotion with the Council of Exports and the Swedish Institute.

Section of development

This section handles Sweden’s regional development cooperation in Asia with focus on Southeast Asia and development in Myanmar. The focus on regional development is in natural resources, environment, climate, energy, urban planning, democracy and human rights.

Apart from these sections the embassy also has a large migration department and a consular department for the large number of Swedes that visit Thailand. A Nordic office for police cooperation is also a part of the Embassy.
