Danish engineering company Danfoss A/S has inaugurated its largest production facility in China, located in Haiyan.

The new “Haiyan Second Campus” spans 126,000 square meters, more than doubling the company’s presence in the region. It integrates all three of Danfoss’ business segments along with two application development centres (ADCs) supporting its Power Solutions and Climate Solutions divisions.

The facility will deliver advanced technologies, including drives, compressors, hydraulic pumps, motors, valves, and heat exchangers, aimed at decarbonising China’s buildings, transportation and energy sectors.

Danfoss broke ground on the site in April 2024, and the campus is part of the company’s LEAP 2030 strategy to decarbonise its global operations by the end of the decade. The company has signed a power purchase agreement to secure 100 percent green electricity for the facility.

Arthur Xu, president of Danfoss China, described the opening as a “strategic leap forward” for delivering advanced energy-efficient solutions.

“It will enable our Chinese customers to decarbonise and grow at scale,” he added.

Kim Fausing, president and CEO of Danfoss, underlined the significance of the investment.

“We continue to see great potential in the Chinese market, and the new campus demonstrates our confidence in China’s green future,” he said.

Danfoss currently operates 11 production sites and four innovation facilities in China, employing nearly 5,000 people. Earlier in 2025, the company announced additional investments in Suzhou and Nanjing.
