Denmark’s Ambassador to China Michael Starbæk Christensen visited Carlsberg China’s Dazhulin Brewery in Chongqing on 6 August.
The ambassador was accompanied by Minister Counsellor Jonas Bruntse Dahl Nielsen. They met with Carlsberg China President Lee Chee Kong, representatives from the Liangjiang New Area Administrative Committee and officials from the Foreign Affairs Office of the Chongqing municipal government.
During the visit, Carlsberg China presented its operations across China and discussed its work on innovation, sustainability and long-term development in the Chinese market.
The Dazhulin Brewery is described by the Danish Embassy as a flagship brewery for Carlsberg China and the wider Carlsberg Group.
The meeting also included discussions about the future of the beer industry and Carlsberg’s operations in China.
