The Danish Embassy in Bangkok hosted a lunch with the Governor of Bangkok Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, ambassadors, and members of the ECO-Capitals Forum to renew their pledge for sustainable development in the Thai capital.
The gathering brought together representatives from more than 13 embassies and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA). The discussions centered on aligning goals and sharing experiences to support Bangkok’s environmental priorities.
A key theme was the role of public–private partnerships in advancing sustainability initiatives. Danish healthcare company Novo Nordisk presented its “Cities for Better Health” programme, showcasing how collaboration between sectors can create measurable impact.
Looking ahead, the ECO-Capitals Forum will work with the BMA across eight priority areas: solid waste management, transportation, green urban environment and climate adaptation, energy conservation and alternative energy, water, air quality, food systems, and the green economy.
