Siriraj Hospital and MIT Hacking Medicine have launched the second edition of their joint innovation hackathon, Siriraj × MIT Hacking Medicine 2025, set to take place in Bangkok from 31 October to 2 November. The event is now open for applications from participants across Southeast Asia.
The hackathon will bring together doctors, engineers, entrepreneurs, and professionals from a wide range of fields to co-develop new medical solutions. This year’s theme, “AI Today, Transforming Tomorrow’s Healthcare,” focuses on tackling chronic diseases and mental health, two of the most pressing challenges in the region.
Among the global partners supporting the program is Danish pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk, a leading player in diabetes and chronic disease treatment. Novo Nordisk will join other corporates, investors, and incubators observing the hackathon to identify high-potential ideas and innovations emerging from Southeast Asia’s medical startup ecosystem.
In addition to the hackathon, Siriraj Hospital will host a health innovation conference on 4 November, featuring keynote speakers from MIT, Stanford University, and King’s College London. Three top-performing teams from the hackathon will also win “Golden Tickets” to participate in the MIT Grand Hack 2026 in Boston, USA.
