Danish woman seriously injured in Phuket

A 67-year-old Danish woman broke her arm and leg after slipping on a hiking trail near Bang Pae Waterfall in Phuket.

A 67-year-old Danish woman was injured while hiking the Ton Sai–Bang Pae route in Phuket, Thaiger reports.

Rescuers from Guardians of Life Medical & Rescue received a call on 16 January about the accident near Bang Pae Waterfall. The location was inside Khao Phra Thaeo National Park in Thalang district.

More than 15 rescuers joined the operation and trekked for over five hours to reach the woman. A Danish man, who was with her at the time of the accident, was not injured.

Rescuers gave first aid and carried her out on a stretcher. She was taken to Thalang Hospital for further treatment.
