Vietnam Social Security (VSS) and the Embassy of Denmark in Vietnam have signed a new three-year agreement to strengthen cooperation on sustainable healthcare and health insurance, VnEconomy reported.
The memorandum of understanding, signed on July 6, will run from 2026 to 2028 and focus on health economics, digital health and the use of health data to support policymaking and improve Vietnam’s healthcare system.
The agreement builds on a partnership that began in 2018. According to VnEconomy, more than 1,900 Vietnamese health insurance officers have taken part in training programmes under the cooperation.
“Through this new phase of cooperation, we are pleased to share Denmark’s experience and work together to turn data into better policy, more effective use of healthcare resources, and ultimately better outcomes for patients,” said Lasse Pedersen Hjortshøj, Counsellor at the Embassy of Denmark in Vietnam.
