Denmark supports ‘For A Livable Hanoi’ project

The opening of a community space in Phuc Tan Ward, Hoan Kiem District, a neighborhood near the Red river bank in Hanoi took place on Saturday, 27 March 2021.

The Embassy of Denmark expressed in a statement that they are proud to have supported the “For A Livable Hanoi” Coalition in transforming a messy ground into a nicely decorated multi-functional space for the local community in Residential Group 16. The women, many of them migrant workers, and the children in this local community are particularly delighted to see this new community space as they now have, for the first time, a clean area for outdoor activities.

This activity is part of a Danish-supported project “Inclusive city: making Hanoi livable for the most marginalized groups of migrant workers” carried out by the Centre for Community Empowerment in collaboration with a number of organizations and individuals who have voluntarily made various contributions to making Hanoi a more livable city.
