FBC Singapore webinar: Is Resilience More Important than Strategy During Disruption?

The Finnish Business Council Singapore invites you to their upcoming webinar titled, “Is Resilience More Important than Strategy During Disruption?” on 1 June.

The invitation reads:

Warmly welcome to Is Resilience More Important than Strategy During Disruption? webinar!

Mr. Evan Leybourn (Business Agility Center) starts with the keynote of how business agility is a complex and multi-faceted concept spanning all aspects and interactions of an organizational system. With the single intention of finding ways to create an organization best able to fulfill its purpose (its customer), no matter what the future brings. It is a continuum, where the question is not whether you have it, but rather how much you have and is it enough.

However, defining business agility is not simple. There is no silver bullet or single framework, method, or system that can implement business agility – and, by definition, because an organization is a complex adaptive system, there can never be one. In most cases, even different business units need different approaches. Yet, while no two organizations follow the same journey, common patterns emerge.

In this talk, together we will explore these patterns to better understand the characteristics of the future of business.

Mr. Michael Hanf (Taival) then continues how the COVID pandemic has made it clear that resilience and the capability to navigate unpredictable change are critical for companies to navigate today’s business environment. How does strategy fit into this new world where moving fast is often more important than knowing where you are going? Is Strategy still relevant let alone important to build a resilient company?

During the keynote, Michael will explore the modern-day cornerstones of a successful company and the changing requirements for building and maintaining a strategy that supports the shift towards a dynamic, ever-changing world. Drawing from his deep and wide experience from working with companies in different industries and of different sizes, Michael will present a new strategic approach that will not only support but drive change, agility, and resilience for the organization.

The Business Agility Institute is a fiercely independent research & advocacy organization for the next generation of companies.
