Finland’s Ambassador to Malaysia, Anne Vasara, has met Malaysia’s Defence Minister Dato’ Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin for talks on defence, technology and security cooperation, on 4 March.

The meeting took place at Wisma Pertahanan and included an exchange of views on the defence approaches of both Finland and Malaysia. The two sides also discussed current developments in the global security situation.

According to the Finnish Embassy, the talks highlighted shared interest in closer cooperation in defence, security and technological fields.

Finland also welcomed Malaysia’s invitation for Finnish companies to join Defence Services Asia 2026. Several Finnish companies are expected to take part and present defence solutions and technology innovations.

The embassy said the Finnish solutions are based on long-term investment in military capabilities and are designed to respond to hybrid threats and harsh climate conditions.
