Finnish ambassador gave empowerment speech at the Girl Guides Thailand seminar

Finnish Ambassador to Thailand and Cambodia H.E. Satu Suikkari-Kleven received Girl’s guides iconic scarf on her arrival.

Girl Guides Thailand invited the Finnish ambassador to Thailand Ms Satu Suikkari-Kleven to act as a speaker in The Juliette Low Seminar on 14th November 2019, in Bangkok.

The topic of the ambassador’s speech was “Social Innovation to Promote Gender Equality and Empower Girls and Young Women.”

“It is a privilege to give the speech to the audience of future leaders from Asia-Pacific, Africa, North America, Europe and Oceania, with motivation and enthusiasm to learn and develop themselves.” the Ambassador said.

“You have come here today which shows that you have the motivation and interest to become a leader. That’s it. That’s all you need. The most important thing is to trust yourself, the rest you will learn and you will grow to it.”

The Girl Guides Association of Thailand is the national Guiding organization of Thailand. It served 28,030 members. Founded in 1957, the girls-only organization became a full member of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in 1963.
