On 18 October Finnish Ambassador to Myanmar, Ms. Riikka Laatu, met with speakers from the Lower and Upper Houses of the Parliament of Myanmar.
During Ms. Riikka Laatu’s meeting with Lower House speaker U T Khun Myat, they discussed bilateral cooperation between Finnish and Myanmar parliaments, education, health, forestry sector, development in democracy and peace, provision of technical and other assistance for peace process in Myanmar.
In a discussion between Upper House speaker Mahn Win Khaing Than and the Ambassador, the covered topics included Finland-Myanmar cooperation on education, economics, and development in democracy and peace.
