Finnish-inspired HEI Schools opens second Jakarta campus in Menteng

Finnish-inspired HEI Schools has opened a second Jakarta campus in Menteng, expanding its play-based early childhood education for local families.

HEI Schools Indonesia has opened its second campus, HEI Schools SPM Menteng, in central Jakarta. The preschool is a collaboration with Sekolah Perkumpulan Mandiri, following the first HEI campus in Senayan. The opening on 11 November 2025 was attended by Finnish Ambassador to Indonesia, ASEAN and Timor-Leste, Pekka Kaihilahti.

The new campus offers early childhood education based on Finland’s curriculum and University of Helsinki research. HEI Schools promotes play-based, child-centred learning designed to support joy, curiosity and holistic development. The model has already shown strong outcomes at HEI Schools Senayan since 2020.

HEI Schools SPM Menteng is located in a cultural heritage building in Menteng. The campus combines historic architecture with modern Finnish-inspired learning spaces, including an indoor gym, music room, outdoor playground and creative exploration areas. The aim is to meet growing demand among Jakarta families for Finnish-style early childhood education.

With the Menteng campus, HEI Schools Indonesia expands its reach in Jakarta. The network now offers Finnish-inspired preschool pathways from Senayan and Menteng, with continuity into primary levels through its partnership with Sekolah Perkumpulan Mandiri
