Sweden’s new ambassador to the Philippines has been announced, as the embassy is preparing to open in Manila.
The government has appointed Deputy Director Harald Fries as Ambassador in Manila.
Harald Fries is currently deputy director of the Foreign Ministry’s Department for the European Union. He has previously served inter alia, representations in New York and Geneva and at the previous Swedish embassy in Manila in fact!
Harald Fries will assume his new position in September as the brand new embassy opens its doors.
