Indonesia and Denmark celebrated international forest day

On 18 March the Danish Ambassador H.E. Rasmus Abildgaard Kristensenand and Mr. Rudiantara, Minister of Information and Communication Technology, participated in the Youth Eco Festival in Jakarta hosted by Youth House of Fauna and Ministry of Environment and Forestry.

The festival raised awareness about the conservation of Indonesia’s rainforests and biodiversity. Denmark contributes to Indonesia’s flora and fauna by supporting biodiversity in Hutan Hapapan, one of Sumatra’s last remaining lowland rainforests. In 2018 Denmark will also launch support to the Sumatran Tiger and Java Leopard under a “Big Cats of Indonesia” theme.
