Oliver Kastell, a swedish 21-year-old TikTok sensation with over half a million followers, recently opened up about his challenging experience while filming the Swedish reality show “Good Luck Guys.” The show features six influencer couples attempting to survive on a deserted beach in Malaysia without access to mobile phones or social media. For Kastell, the experience was far from easy.
Just a day before filming began, Kastell fell ill with tonsillitis and required antibiotics. “Honestly, it was probably the hardest thing I’ve ever done,” he admitted in an interview with Aftonbladet. “I felt extremely bad. Throughout the filming period, I had tonsillitis, which kept me from sleeping. I think I was awake for several days straight. Typically, when you’re sick, you rest, but in this case, it was the opposite.”
Sleep was not the only challenge for the young influencer. Participants were restricted to consuming only a few hundred calories daily. “I eat a lot because I work out,” Kastell explained. “When I looked in the mirror, I could barely recognize myself. I had lost a lot of weight.”
Beyond his health struggles, Kastell shared insights into his personal life. He acknowledge issues with his immune system but expressing overall satisfaction. He states that he has been quite sick and unable to train much, but otherwise he feels satisfied.”
On a brighter note, he highlighted his relationship with Dasha (Daria Garipova), which he described as “wonderful.” The couple met through Snapchat in ninth grade when Kastell asked her to go bowling on Valentine’s Day six years ago.
Despite the hardships faced during filming, Oliver Kastell’s updates on his health, love life, career, and living situation are sure to resonate with his fans as they follow his journey on social media.
