Maersk Line describe Myanmar as the last untapped market in Southeast Asia. The company sees opportunities in Myanmar since the country is strategically well placed between the big economies of the region such as India and China. With 60 million people, the company also believes that Myanmar can become a very big consumer market and that the low wages can attract many foreign companies to the country.

MCC Transport is the 22. largest container shipping company in the world and is owned by A.P.Møller-Mærsk. The company has its headquarters in Singapore also supply feeder service for other shipping companies.
