Tax specialists Aira Veronica Gomez and John Brian Z. Malbas will explain Philippine e-invoicing requirements at a NordCham Philippines briefing on 28 October.

The event in Makati will focus on which businesses must comply and how they can prepare their accounting and billing systems. Both speakers work with financial and tax compliance at Ascentium Philippines.

NordCham’s programme also includes implementation options, common compliance risks and questions from participants.

December deadline for covered businesses

The Bureau of Internal Revenue requires covered taxpayers to issue electronic invoices by 31 December 2026.

The rules cover several groups, including small, medium and large businesses engaged in e-commerce, taxpayers under the Large Taxpayers Service, and users of specified accounting and invoicing systems. Micro taxpayers are exempt from the mandatory requirement.

Electronic invoicing and electronic sales reporting are separate obligations. The BIR says separate implementing rules will govern electronic sales reporting.

The briefing targets finance, accounting, tax and IT professionals, as well as business owners.

NordCham lists fees of PHP 2,000 for members and PHP 2,500 for non-members, with an additional charge for online payments. The advertised registration deadline was 23 October. Businesses seeking a place should contact [email protected].

Further details are available on NordCham’s event page.
