Norway has brought 14 companies and organisations to Bangkok for Gastech 2026, one of the world’s largest exhibitions and conferences for the energy industry.
The Norwegian delegation is gathered at a national pavilion organised by Team Norway. The Royal Norwegian Embassy in Thailand, Innovation Norway and the Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce took part in the pavilion’s opening on Monday, 14 September.
The delegation includes Aize, Aker Solutions, Autronica Fire and Security, BW LNG, CoreMarine, DNB, DNV, ECOnnect Energy, Eld Energy, KLINGER Westad, Oliasoft, Passer Marine, Tunable and Umoe Advanced Composites.
Together, the organisations cover large parts of the gas and energy value chain. Their services include LNG infrastructure, offshore engineering, carbon capture, gas analysis, safety systems, energy software, financing and storage solutions for compressed gases.
The Norway Pavilion also hosts daily company presentations and networking activities during the conference. A Norwegian networking event sponsored by CoreMarine is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon.
Thailand highlights energy security
Gastech 2026 takes place from 14 to 17 September at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre, BITEC.
The organisers expect around 50,000 energy professionals and more than 1,000 exhibitors and organisations from over 150 countries.
Thailand’s Ministry of Energy hosts the conference, while Thai energy companies and authorities play central roles in the programme.
Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul opened the exhibition booth of the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand, EGAT, on Monday.
EGAT uses its participation to highlight energy security, grid development and low-carbon technologies. Its presentation covers LNG management, the ASEAN Power Grid, hydrogen, biomass and small modular nuclear reactors.
The Norwegian pavilion places Norway’s energy industry within the same discussion. It presents Norwegian expertise in both established gas infrastructure and technologies designed to reduce emissions.
