Norway supports UNDP Vietnam in improving life quality for disables

Counsellor of the Norwegian Embassy in Hanoi, Mr Jan Wilhelm Grythe attended Workshop “Opportunities, challenges and solutions to promote political rights of Persons with disabilities in Vietnam” organized by CEPEW Vietnam (Center for Education Promotion and Empowerment of Women) and UNDP Vietnam on the occasion of Vietnam’s Day of Persons with Disabilities.

In his opening remarks, Mr Jan Wilhelm Grythe informed a new project plan “Strengthening implementation of international human rights recommendations made to Viet Nam 2021 – 2022” to be implemented by UNDP with funding from Norway.

Mr Jan Wilhelm Grythe said “Promoting human rights including the rights of people with disabilities have always been high on Norway cooperation agenda globally. With strong coordination from UNDP, good cooperation with counterparts, we believe that we can support more Persons with disabilities in elected positions and perform well as a voice representing their community in the National Assembly and People’s Councils.”
