Norway will host the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) 2025 from 23 to 27 June, marking the 20th anniversary of the global platform for discussions on public policy issues related to the internet.
According to a post by the Norwegian Embassy in Hanoi, the milestone event comes at a time of increasing geopolitical challenges, making the forum’s mission—to promote an open, secure, and inclusive internet—more critical than ever.
“It is more important than ever to meet and unite efforts to preserve an open and secure internet to the benefit of mankind,” the Embassy states.
The theme for IGF 2025 will be Building Governance Together, with a wide range of sessions and thematic tracks planned to shape the forum’s future. Norway has expressed hopes to welcome participants from around the world, including delegates from Vietnam.
