Born in Oslo, Alex Dahl is a well-established writer of Nordic Noir. She is often praised for her ability to blend psychological depth with gripping suspense. She holds degrees in linguistics, creative writing, and business management, and has published short stories in both the UK and US.

Her debut novel The Boy at the Door was shortlisted for the UK’s Crime Writers’ Association New Blood Dagger Award in 2018, and she has since been described by Norway’s Dagbladet as a “new star of Nordic noir.” Her books have been translated into multiple languages, bringing contemporary Norwegian crime fiction to readers worldwide.
