Norwegian cruise company Havila Voyages is stepping up its efforts to attract more Chinese tourists to Norway.
The company has hired international travel agency Aviareps to promote its coastal cruises in China and work with Chinese travel agencies and tour operators, the company announced on Thursday.
The move is aimed at making more Chinese travellers aware of Havila’s voyages along Norway’s coastline.
China seen as an important market
“China is an important market for us, and we look forward to introducing more Chinese travellers to Norway’s coastal voyage experience,” said Johanna Hansli, Chief Sales Officer at Havila Voyages.
Aviareps will help market Havila in China through travel fairs, advertising campaigns and events aimed at both travel companies and consumers.
Havila Voyages operates ships along the Norwegian coast, competing with the better-known coastal operator Hurtigruten for international tourists visiting Norway.
