Norwegians who have recently moved to Singapore will have an opportunity to learn more about everyday life in the city-state when the Norwegian Seamen’s Church hosts its “New to Singapore” event on Saturday, 5 September 2026.
The gathering is organized in cooperation with the Norwegian Embassy in Singapore, Innovation Norway and the Norwegian Business Association Singapore, NBAS.
During an information session, representatives from the organizations will provide practical guidance on living in Singapore, introduce their local activities and answer questions from participants. The event will also offer newcomers an opportunity to learn more about the Norwegian community and connect with other Norwegians living in Singapore.
Although the afternoon is primarily intended for newcomers, Norwegians who have lived in Singapore for a longer period are also welcome to participate. Attendees may bring family members and friends.
The programme begins with a taco lunch from 12pm to 1pm, followed by an information session and Q&A from 1pm to 2pm. The final hour, from 2pm to 3pm, is reserved for informal conversations and networking.
The event takes place at the Norwegian Seamen’s Church, 300 Pasir Panjang Road, Singapore 118640.
Participation requires registration through the Norwegian Seamen’s Church’s website
