The aircraft operator Norwegian will call off their air route from London-Gatwick airport to Singapore in January 2019, according to CHECK-IN.DK.

The route was launched in 2017.

According to Andreas Hjørnholm, communications for Norwegian in Denmark, the demand for Singapore flights is not as high as expected and Norwegian has decided to re-route the aircraft to serve new destinations such as Brazil.

The trip from London to Singapore takes 13 hours, which makes it the world’s longest low-cost flight and covers 10,885 kilometers with a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.

Norwegian is the third largest low-cost carrier in Europe behind easyJet and Ryanair.
