The annual bicycle trip organised by the Norwegian Seamen’s Church in Thailand returns this November with a new route, starting in Phitsanulok in central Thailand and ending in Pattaya. Last year’s edition took riders along the Gulf of Thailand from Hua Hin to Pattaya, and this year’s tour offers a different journey through the country’s interior.
Participants will depart from Pattaya on Monday 10 November and travel to Phitsanulok, where the cycling begins on Tuesday 11 November. Over the following days, the group will head south through scenic landscapes, including a stretch along the shores of Pasak Chonlasit Lake. A rest day by the lake will include sightseeing opportunities.
The route then continues past Khao Yai National Park towards Nakhon Nayok and Prachinburi, before reaching Chonburi for a joint closing celebration. The final stage takes riders into Pattaya on Wednesday 19 November.
Participation fees are THB 18,500 for individuals (deposit THB 12,000) and THB 27,000 for couples (deposit THB 14,000). The registration deadline is 20 October 2025. Register here: https://www.sjomannskirken.no/skjema/pattaya/bli-med-pa-sjomannskirkens-sykkeltur-2025/
“It is still possible for a few more to join the trip,” says Hans Konrad Nyvoll from the Norwegian Seamen’s Church in Thailand, who has arranged and participated in the ride for several years.
Transport from the church in Pattaya to Phitsanulok is available for an additional fee, with space for up to 28 bicycles. Early registration is advised for those requiring bike transport.
More details and sign-up are available via the Norwegian Church in Thailand.
