Singapore’s Sembmarine to deliver offshore projects to TotalEnergies EP Denmark

Singapore-based Sembcorp Marine (Sembmarine), the global marine and engineering group shipped on 25 July two wellhead topsides, one riser topside, and two bridges to TotalEnergies EP Denmark. The shipment departed from Sembmarine’s Admiratly yard and headed for the Tyra Field in the Danish North Sea to replace aging facilities.

The shipment highlighted the successful completion of the project despite the challenges presented by Covid-19 including supply chain disruptions and manpower shortages.

Sembcorp Marine Head of Offshore Platforms, Samuel Wong, said, “Amid the multitude of challenges brought on by Covid-19, Sembcorp Marine is proud to have completed the structures safely for our customer. The topsides are delivered building on our extensive track record in constructing topside modules and other facilities for the offshore, marine, and energy industries.”

Vice President, Head of the Tyra Redevelopment TotalEnergies EP Denmark, Morten Hesselager Pedersen, said, “Today we celebrate the sail away of the first new Tyra topsides towards the Danish North Sea. The sail away is a result of the good collaboration between Sembcorp Marine, and our site team at the yard in Singapore.

TotalEnergies EP Denmark subcontracted in December 2019 Sembcorp Marine to construct a total of six topside modules and four bridges and the remaining projects are due to be delivered in January 2022.
