Swedish home appliance manufacturer Electrolux showcased its sustainability ambitions at the SX Sustainability Expo 2025 in Bangkok, reaffirming its target of reaching net-zero carbon emissions across its entire value chain by 2050.

Speaking at Southeast Asia’s largest sustainability exhibition, Alexis Richard, General Manager of Electrolux Thailand, said sustainability is an integral part of the company’s global strategy. He emphasized that Thailand, as the regional commercial hub for Asia, plays a key role in achieving the Group’s sustainability targets through its Rayong factory, which serves as one of Electrolux’s global manufacturing sites.

Under its “For the Better 2030” framework, Electrolux aims to increase the use of recycled steel and plastic in its products to 35% by 2030. The company reached its first science-based climate target three years ahead of schedule in 2022 and has since committed to reducing operational emissions by 85% and product-related emissions by 42% by 2030.

Electrolux’s sustainability leadership has been recognized with an EcoVadis Gold rating, placing the company among the top 5% of over 70,000 firms worldwide. Founded in Sweden more than a century ago, the Electrolux Group continues to combine Scandinavian innovation with global action toward more sustainable living.
