Swedish Ambassador met with Thai Ministers, highlighting 150 years

On 26 June Swedish Ambassador Staffan Herrström paid courtesy calls to Thai ministers, also highlighting the 150 years Anniversary between Thailand and Sweden and some activities the Embassy is planning during 2018. The Ambassador met with H.E. General Surasak Karnjanarat, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, discussing cooperation on joint global challenges within Oceans and Plastics, including the preparations of activities related to the visit by the Swedish Ambassador for the Oceans, Helen Ågren, to Thailand in September.

The Ambassador, and Trade Commissioner Vivianne Gillman from Business Sweden in Thailand, also met with H.E. Dr Arkhom Termpittayapaisith, Minister of Transport, highlighting potential next steps in the Thai-Swedish long-term exchange on Smart Cities in line with the Thailand 4.0 vision, notably within Road Safety and Smart Mobility.
