How is tax free car rental possible?
The favorable prices exclusively to Danish expatriates are possible because rental companies in Denmark do not have to pay the Danish registration fee. This saving is passed on to customers with registered address outside Denmark by Europcar as a reduced base price of the rental. As the rule only applies to expatriates, Danes with a registered address in Denmark are not allowed to rent or run these rental cars.
