A Thai youth football team is set to travel to Sweden this summer after winning a national tournament in Bangkok, MGR Online reports.
Futboys X Pattaya United secured first place in the “Meet the World with SKF Thailand Tournament 2026”, earning the right to represent Thailand at the Gothia Cup.
The Gothia Cup, held annually in Gothenburg, is one of the world’s largest youth football tournaments, bringing together teams from across the globe.
The qualifying competition was organised with support from Svenska Kullagerfabriken (SKF), which sponsors youth initiatives globally.
For the Thai players, the trip to Sweden marks a rare opportunity to compete internationally and gain exposure beyond Southeast Asia.
The international tournament will take place in Gothenburg from July 13–18.
