Two co-CEOs of DHT Holding move to Singapore

DHT Holdings, Inc on Friday 4. January 2019 announces that its two Norwegian Co-CEOs have relocated to Singapore. The relocation follows changes in the tax law in Norway from 2019 for tax residency of companies formed outside of Norway. The new legislation takes into account the place of daily management as well as the place of management and control on board level. The Company’s tax residency will remain unchanged in Bermuda.

The Company’s office in Singapore will hold senior management, chartering, operations, newbuilding supervision and technical management whereas the Company’s office in Norway will retain functions within finance, accounting, investor relations, chartering and operations.

According to the website of DHT Holding, the company has two Norwegian co-CEO’s.

Svein Moxnes Harfjeld, Co-Chief Executive Officer, joined DHT on September 1, 2010. Mr. Harfjeld has over 25 years of experience in the shipping industry. He was most recently with the BW Group, where he held senior management positions including Group Executive Director, CEO of BW Offshore, Director of Bergesen dy and Director of World-Wide Shipping. Previously he held senior management positions at Andhika Maritime, Coeclerici and Mitsui O.S.K. Mr. Harfjeld started his shipping career with The Torvald Klaveness Group. Mr. Harfjeld is a citizen of Norway.

Trygve P. Munthe, Co-Chief Executive Officer, joined DHT on September 1, 2010. Mr. Munthe has over 25 years of experience in the shipping industry. Mr. Munthe was previously CEO of Western Bulk, President of Skaugen Petrotrans, Director of Arne Blystad AS and CFO of I.M Skaugen. Mr. Munthe currently serves as chairman of the board of Ness, Risan & Partners AS. Mr. Munthe is a citizen of Norway.
