Two Swedish nationals have been arrested in Phnom Penh after a violent incident at a convenience store, according to local police, Khmer Times reports.

The pair are accused of causing damage inside an LX Mart outlet on Street 217 in the Cambodian capital on 13 May. Authorities say goods were destroyed during the outburst.

Police later located the suspects at a guesthouse in the Chey Chumneah area. The individuals have been identified as a 45-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman, both reportedly living in Phnom Penh.

They are now being questioned by the Phnom Penh Municipal Criminal Investigation Office, which is preparing the case for prosecution.
